Poster

My poster includes all three members of the band in a old bus stop referencing the song and video of 'Lonely Boy'. The two guitarists are at the sides whilst the lead singer is located in the middle. In this we all still complied to our costume themes; street casual, indie and rocky (from left to right) however you could argue we are more casual. The lead singer is located in the light whilst the guitarists are in shadow conforming to Dyers star theory; the lead is the star. Ironically, although you cannot see it too well, there are couples names and hearts located at the back of the bus stop. Given the title of the album is called 'Lonely Boy', this is the complete opposite of the meaning of the song.

The poster contains the band name and promotion for the album, the writing is the same as that from the digipak - I used Berlin Sans FB for the bold parts of my writing and the font Microsoft Yi Baiti for the lighter parts - however, this time i used white writing so as to make sure it stood out from the background. Finally, at the bottom of the page there is the website for Blank Canvas as well as the copyright for the Domino recording company which was my chosen record label for my band. 

When researching band posters i said i was going to try and make mine graphically designed if i could. However, i chose not to just because the poster looked better without it. You wouldn't have been able to see the band members or the writing at the back and i don't think this would've had the same effect as this poster does.
