Costume

When researching costumes, hair and makeup we used the website Pinterest to gain ideas of how we could all look. It was extremely helpful in showing us the latest fashions in the indie, rock and indie rock categories for both men and women. This allowed us to choose the best options for each character from the items we already owned between us.
We chose to have different costumes for the narrative and the performance.

Date night:

Smart but casual, he wants to look presentable for his date but not too dressed up for the relaxed nature of the date.

We wanted the audience to know they are still in the early stages of the relationship at this point but still know each other pretty well.

Journey:
We chose to dress the protagonist very casual in this part of the narrative; a plain tee and jeans we used as well as a watch to maintain the time and waiting theme. 

Performance: 

For part of our performance we chose to have similar but yet unique styles. They all come under the indie rock vibe we were hoping for and as chosen the best fit for us by our focus group, our hope was they all tie together but show the bands individual personalities. 

For number 1 we chose to have more of a laid back yet still smart vibe, showing him as streetwise. There is a checked shirt and hoodie with black jeans. The checked shirt and jeans match the indie rock genre whereas the hoodie represents his comfort and easygoing nature.

Number 2 has more of an indie feeling, and is probably considered the most 'normal' overall. There is a black dress under a white shirt. This shows her femininity but also her place in the indie rock band.

Whereas, number 3 is the most traditionally 'rocky' with dyed hair, fishnets and dungarees. Synonymous with rock music but also with a modern twist, she could be considered the most a la mode. 

However, this is only part of our performance we will have some more costume changes during our music video. 

The second part of our performance called for a costume change. 

For number 1 we chose a denim jacket with a hoodie, again this shows a casual yet genre adhering band member. The denim jacket represents the rock genre as well as being on trend.

Number 2 is again the most indie of the band. The floral blouse represents this however here, a more rocky vibe is evident through the leather skirt and tights. 

Number 3 is again the most rocky. Dressed all in black with a ripped denim skirt and over sized denim jacket and fishnets, she shows off how the genre can be utilized to flaunt the genre but still remain feminine and on trend.
